Product Description

Alpha (ETO) RF 6 Meter Linear Amplifier 40-70 MHz, with Single Eimac 8874 Tube, and Built in power Supply with Hypersil Transformer. It will work on SSB, CW, and FM and should put out about 350 watts SSB or 300 watts continuous.

This Amplifier was part of an ETO MRI amplifiers system and has been converted for use as a single 6 Meter bad Amplifier covering 40 to 70 MHZ! This is a very easy conversion so this was a vary popular amplifier for 6 meter operation.

All Components are of the highest quality. The Band switch is a CentraLabs, high power switch and the power supply is typical of what you find in most of the Alpha Amplifiers in the Amateur Market.

I purchased this working amplifier many years ago from the owner who was using it at the time.

I have not used it on the air since then  but I did recently power it up and the blower runs nice and smooth and is pretty quiet.

The high voltage look correct. It did not test it any farther.

It runs on 120 VAC.

There is a terminal strip on the back and a 5 pin din for transceiver control.

I will provide paperwork with the original drawings but I do not have any info on the conversion (keying relay circuit)

I am selling it as is for parts or repair or to use as it is.

As with most of the Alpha amplifiers, the transformer plugs in and comes out with 4 screws removed.

The transformer will be removed and shipped separately.

The Tuning chart was attached to the front panel. I have removed it and it is included.
