This Collins 32S-1 is in Good cosmetic condition. The cabinet has the original paint and finish.
The cabinet has the original paint and finish. It has been modified on the rear panel. A Hole has been made in the rear panel. Not for any reason on this 32S-1 but probably another radio that once had this cabinet.
The cabinet is otherwise, in Very nice shape with only a few small marks that have been touched up.
The front panel looks clean and in great shape.
I checked this radio on my bench and it appears to be working. I loaded it up on 80 meters and got good power out.
I checked the transmit audio on both lower and upper SSB and it has excellent audio on both USB and LSB so the filters are in good shape
Tuning was a bit touchy on some bans so it is likely this transmitter will need an alignment or some attention.
A couple of the RCA connectors on the back have been changed to BNC type which fit in the same size hole. This can be reversed with out much trouble if desired.
I good set of 6146 tubes have been installed.
As with any vintage gear it may benefit with an alignment, and tube replacement, and if it is to be used on a regular basis, the electrolytic capacitors should be changed.
I offer a capacitor replacement kit on this website and will provide one at a discount (my cost) to the buyer of this fine transmitter.
This Transmitter requires a 516F-2 AC power supply which is not included. Please check my other listings for a power supply.
