This Hy-gain 3750 (S/N 10112B), Premium HF Transceiver for SSB/CW 160-10 meters, is in beautiful Condition. This rare and unique transceiver, is part of a large radio collection and was restored with Factory updates about 10 years ago and has been stored unused in a controlled climate environment.
The anodized front face plate is in great shape and the cabinet has the original paint and finish in great shape
I did put this radio on the air and checked it on a couple bands and it appears to be working very well with excellent audio on both USB and USB which indicates the SSB filters are in great shape.
As with most vintage gear that is 40 years old, it may benefit with an alignment and some normal maintenance.
Due to the vintage of this gear, I am selling this transceiver as is as described for the family of the silent key that owned them. While this radio was gone through and restored, it has been stored for over 10 years and may need some attention.
Built in 1976 to 1977, This Transceiver is well known as an excellent performer especially on 160 meters as it was really built around that band rather than 160 added in the design.
A True vintage classic, is the beautiful Hy-Gain 3750 HF transceiver. Originally in the U.S. market this radio was sold as the National RJX-1011D and some identical units were even labeled Panasonic!
Capable of operating on the pre-WARC bands in SSB and CW modes only. The Hy-Gain logo is displayed on an anodized aluminum front panel, a company formerly located in Lincoln Nebraska. This Hy-Gain is actually a National RJX-1011D.
The 3750 includes a digital frequency display that can be calibrated against the WWW 10MHz signal, voice operated relay (VOX) operation, break-in keying, special interference suppression circuits, and an automatic gain control (AGC) with selectable time constants.
