This RL Drake R-4C HF Receiver in Excellent Condition. It has a serial number of 20495.
In 2009 this receiver was serviced by Jeff Covelli. The PTO tuning screws were degreased and adjusted.
The receiver was aligned to factory Specifications.
This receiver has the optional 4NB Noise blanker board, and the 1.5 KC, .250 KC and .500 KC filters installed.
There are no optional crystals and no AM filter which mounts under the inside cover. (It still receives in the AM mode)
This radio is super clean inside and out. The cabinet has the original paint and finish and has no bad marks or scratches. It is very rare to find an R4-C in this condition. It is beautiful!
I could not see and modifications and everything appears to be original.
I put this receiver on the air and it works great with no apparent problems or trouble.
As with most vintage gear, it may be improved with an alignment or tube replacement although it appears to be working as it should.
It would be prudent to replace the HV and LV Capacitor Chassis mounted Cans before using it on a regular basis. I offer them for sale at my cost to the buyer of this receiver.
I am selling this Receiver as is as described.
I will include a professional reproduction of the manual.
